Quiet campsite on the lake across from Kelowna BC. Nice park attendants. Small bathrooms for such a large park. Good thing they are building a much larger bathroom facility. We heard hoot owls from our site - very cool.
We have been coming to this incredible park every year since Park opened in the 70'S.Pat and his staff make this a first rate spectacular park. This is one park that nature never allows to stay the same. Winds, rain, sun, floods and fires change the shoreline and the creek constantly. We regularly occupy a site twice a year since the park was born and love to explore the new things mother nature has handed out since each last visit. This spring she decided to completely rearrange the mouth of the creek. There will be a few new beach islands there this summer. Can't wait!In spring 2018 campsites with hookups have been added, several have nice lake views! This an awesome place to have some summer rest and play and I can't wait to get back again!
Great view. You get to see everything, from the higheat peaks to down by the creek. Just try not to lose your footing while jumping from rock to rock. The water quickly gains speed. Oh, and bring water. You WILL get thirsty. The long trail takes about 45minutes to an hour to complete, so try to manage your time. I would suggest going first left into the forest to begin for beginners, because it gets the steep incline out of the way before fatigue starts to set in.
Nice park, nice play ground, and so close Kelowna, you are away but if you forget anything you are no more than 15 min away from shopping. Which makes it tough to get into. They also added power sites into this park, though I have not seen them yet to see how they effected parking in the overflow.
Great little camping spot or place for locals to go for a swim or launch a canoe or walk the dog. Well spaced campsites, some with lakefront. Beautiful hiking right across Westside Road up the Bear Creek Trailwaterfall and 750 Million Year geology.
