We went here on a hot sunny day, but the view did not disappoint us. There was a lookout near the first stop and it seems like not a lot of people know about it. Knox mountain is fairly near the city, and its a moderate hike/ bike ride to the top. The view is beautiful and you can of course see the city from up here. A good place to explore in the weekend for all people, couples, friends, families. Theres a quiet park at the bottom of the mountain to relax after a hike too.
The hike from the bottom to the top never disappoints. It's challenging but not gruelling. The views along the way and from the top are worth the time to make the journey. Although there is a fountain at the top for both humans and dogs I highly recommend to hike with enough water for yourself and fido. Many a times I have shared my water with other parched canines because owners forgot a bowl or didn't realize how hot it is.
We were lazy and drove all the way to the top but we went for a bit of a walk up on the trails at the top. Very cool place and the views were stunning wven though it was a little overcast. Definitely worth a visit. Wish I had my bike to ride around on the trails whick from the road looked very smooth and fun.
Small peacful park with ample shade. Lots of grassy areas and trees with washrooms and a small playground. Knox mountain market is a block away and offers most convenience store amenities plus it has a small deli where they make sandwiches.This park is dog friendly but ONLY ON LEASH. There is an off leash area on Knox mountain which is just down the road about a block away for anyone wishing to to for a good run with their dog.
Great park with some amazing trails. If you're new to the park as we were some of the trails don't match what was online so watch out. The apex trail is great to get the heart rate going. Paul's tomb trail if you park at the second parking lot you could easily use a stroller. We carried out two month old not knowing this.
