Great, long standing company serving the Okanagan for years! I worked for this company for almost 8 years and was treated very well. High level of safety and the workers that I had a chance to work with over the years were top notch! Keep up the good work guys!
I heard someone else recently came forward about some issues too, as usual nothing is ever done because the guy in charge is an absolute coward. Worst work environment I've ever seen. If I could give zero stars I would. The boss Rob is probably one of the most useless people out there, got the company handed to him and already on his way to run it to the ground! It's the most hilarious thing to watch, I'll give this failure of a company maybe another year... Tom knew to do things the right way a boss would, his son is absolutely clueless it's sad to see. If we stand strong about the hostility and issues of this company our voices must be heard.
As a former employee of this prejudice company I can openly honestly say that they are a disgrace. Comments were made to me on numerous occasions by numerous of the other employees about my race. Things like " why do the top of pill bottles have cotton in them? To remind black people they were cotton pickers before they were drug dealers" and also calling basket ball (N word Ball) I won't say the actual word but the actual word was used to my face from another employee. So I didn't want to bring the matter up to the boss who I won't name since everyone most likely knows, due to the fact that this is the most high school environment I have ever seen at a workplace and knowing the guys after working alongside them for 7 months knew that they all gossip and word would get out and being the new already picked on coloured person was intimidated that they would treat me worse which is true, they did. My girlfriend took it upon herself to go in and speak with the boss about the issues so that he could address them and improve his company. Funny thing is instead he told her that she was threatening him and that he did not appreciate it. What a joke. So after her telling him that his employees not only have been prejudice against me and have made numerous racial comments like the ones above but also they consume drugs and alcohol on site and at lunch hour at the bars around town, do you think he did a single thing about it? Nope, he literally did absolutely nothing which is pathetic. He is an egotistical individual who has no clue how to run a business and thinks he knows everything. He also blamed me for not going to him directly with the issue and even when I told him why he blamed me for having a "pre conceived view" towards how things would be handled, which is ridiculous since I worked there for over 6 months and know first hand exactly how all the guys at this place are. Everything said to the boss in private is shared with every employee that works for the company. For example the day after my girlfriend went in and spoke with him one of the Foreman's pulled me aside and personally told me that the boss told him everything my girlfriend had said to him in private disclosure yet when I confronted him about that he tried telling me that this is false information and that I had no clue what I was talking about which I find funny that the guy who told me this info told me word for word exactly what my girlfriend had told me she told the boss... Funny how that works, guess he is a mind reader. Anyway I cannot believe how unprofessional this man is in every way. Joke is on him since I record everything due to working at multiple places like this and have learned the lesson. I have videos of illegal issues that the boss knows about and pretends to be clueless, for example I have a video of one of the work trucks that apparently receive inspections constantly and yet you can see clear as day the speedometer doesn't even work at all. Of course the inspection comes back as safe for the road and they have their employees driving these dangerous vehicles on public streets putting everyone at risk (Also multiple of their company vehicles are unfit to drive). Anyone who would like to see this video as an example feel free to contact me. If you want a racist, highschool drop out, drug addicted, alcoholic untrustworthy and unsafe group of individuals working on your home roof or business roof this is 100% the place to call. This comment will most likely be taken down but I will repost it endlessly because these are all things I am worried about that can potentially harm innocent people. I also have a full recording of the conversation I had with him before quitting when I personally confronted him about all these issues! I will also be spreading word by mouth to everyone I know and they will do the same :) enjoy running your family business into the ground haha. Struggles of the incompetent that are handed a business!
