Came to Excel in August, asked to get my hair evened out because i had one side that was shorter than the other, and then continued to get extensions so i could have the length and more thickness as my hair is very thin. Got my hair cut and didn't get to see it. After taking out the extensions i have realized that my hair was even more uneven, layered which i didn't not ask for, way shorter than i had asked for and just complete awful, i spent so much money on something that was supposed to be great to see that i have such thin hair, that is super short and not at all what i wanted especially since i had on purposely got these extensions for thickness
Im currently pregnant, and all of my new growth is very curly (spiral curls) while the rest of my hair is wavy, so I wanted advice on whether perming my wavy hair could match my new growth. I went in for a consultation and even sent photos of my hair. The person at the front desk was very warm and welcoming and the stylist was sweet. BUT, I did not receive a consultation. I asked the stylist multiple times what could be done and what I should do and all she said was we can try it. Thats not why I came. I came to have an experienced stylist educate me about my hair. She also misunderstood that my new growth was the hair affected by pregnancy, and kept saying the perm would look 80s. Well.... once my natural hair grows out, I guess it will look 80s.I said I felt as though she was not confident in her advice and apologized for leaving. Im sure they do wonderful cuts and drys, but if you have a larger hair problem, it might be good to call around to get professional advice.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely visit to Excel on Aug 17 while visiting Kelowna on vacation. He had the Sport Pedicure and I had the Spa Pedicure. He had never been for a pedi before and this spa was an awesome first experience for him and one of the best spa experiences for me. Both the ladies that did our services were very professional and did a great job. The front desk lady was very welcoming and pleasant as well.
I have been looking for a hairdresser and decided to go online and do my research after my horrible experience with another hairdresser. I found Excel Salon and thank god I did. I called up and told the lady Im very nervous as I have long hair and havent had the best experience. She assured me that it was all going to be okay, and the hairdresser was good.I went in and Veronica listened to my concerns and had a few suggestions. I decided to let her go ahead, and I tell you the nerves started to subside as I saw she knew what she was doing. She finished my hair and i have never been happier. Finally I found the perfect place and a hairdresser who knows how to colour, cut and style. Ladies dont hesitate this is where you want to go for all your hair needs.Thanks again Veronica
Here on vacation, I needed a brow wax and tint and was very happy when I called on a whim and was offered threading as an option. The woman who provided my service was excellent. I walked out with amazing looking brows! I wish I could take her home with me!The spa is welcoming and very clean. The service was excellent.
