I wish they would provide information on exactly what you need to bring in before getting your passport. Very frustrating trying to call and you can't get through to them for information. And when you show up and Wait in line for 30 minutes, they finally inform you on all the paperwork you need to bring in. And someone you have known for over 2 years with a passport. I feel like as a Canadian citizen who grew up here; this could be streamlined a little bit.

I am a very fortunate guy. My wife and I had flights, hotel and car rental scheduled and paid for in Maui for 6 days for our 10 Year Anniversary. Leaving on a Friday afternoon. Wednesday night around 11pm I noticed my passport had expired in Sept 2016. I quickly searched the Kelowna office & found out they have a fast service but wasn't fast enough. I left at 5:30am to get there for 8am opening hoping they could help me. The staff and their manager, David, were welcoming, so helpful and assured me I could get my passport same day if I drove to Surrey to pick it up. Of course I had no choice. By 1:30pm same day I had my passport. Download and fill in the form, have 2 references you've known over 2 years and prepare them for an immediate phone call if ur in a super hurry like I was. It's immediate! Also bring proof of payment of flights and dates. Moral of the story, check your passport when you book a flight but don't panic if it's expired. It costs an extra $110 and time to get to Surrey and back. I got 10 Year passport. Staff is awesome! So refreshing. Thx so much. 12 hours on the road and 850km was way better than the alternative.

Waited in the pre screen line for 20 minutes without any movement. With 6 people infront of me in that line, plus the other 7 waiting to be served and only 2 wickets open, I knew my hour long lunch break would not be long enough.

EXCELLENT service! I was in and out in of the office within 10 minutes. Granted, it helps when you actually read the application form and know exactly what to bring in to their office before going there. :-) New passport promised by mail in 2 weeks. Yay!

I have no experience as I cannot replace my passport without taking time off of work from my 8-5 Monday to Friday job that is located 30 minutes away from the branch. Perhaps government service locations should try to accommodate their customer like ITS 2017?? very frustrated lets get with the times here federal government :(
