When Dad died 16 years ago, these wonderful folks were so very helpful to our family, especially to my mother. Now Mom too has slipped away to be with Dad. She recently died in the Central Okanagan Hospice House. I was present when the staff from Springfield came and picked her up. There was such kind respect and dignity shown, as well as genuine empathy towards my obviously sorrowful situation. Just now I've returned from Springfield after finalizing things, I can say with all honesty that I have the feeling that I'd been dealing with family. Special thank you to David, Andrew, Connie, Mary-Anne and Sheila there Springfield Funeral Home. You folks have surpassed my expectations with your support in this sad time in our journey.
Nightmare! Avoid this funeral home. From paperwork and name misspellings to errors in last wishes. They offer a lot of apologies in a devasting situation. Unfortunately it was impossible to correct their carelessness and disregard for the deceased. Please choose another funeral home to avoid the pain we experienced.
I unfortunately had occasion to attend two services for family members only weeks apart. My father had pre-arranged his service. Other than an initial hiccup with calling in when my dad passed away (for which Springfield sincerely apologized for), the service was excellent. Pre-arrangement means not having to make difficult decisions at a terrible time. I would recommend Springfield and I would recommend making pre-arrangements.
Springfield Funeral Home, and specifically Alex, made a difficult time as easy as could be with all our arrangements. Our expectations were exceeded with Alex's empathy amid efficiency and her innate ability to predict our needs even before we knew them! We were so grateful for the flexibility and willingness to accommodate us. Springfield, as a family business providing an essential service to Kelowna is doing the community proud.
Springfield Funeral Home provided our family with compassionate and caring service way beyond our expectations. Burke and David went above and beyond in looking after all the details re: my mom's cremation, memorial service, flowers, urn, lockets, obituary notices, luncheon etc etc.... No detail was overlooked. In addition, they walked me through all the required paperwork and notifications in a thorough and compassionate manner.
